PETER C. DOWLER
A Ventura native and a 1969 graduate of Hastings College of Law, Mr. Dowler is recognized as one of the top family law practitioners in Ventura County. After three years as a deputy district attorney in the Ventura County District Attorney's Office, he moved into private practice with Sweet, Norman & Dowler in Santa Paula, where he emphasized general civil litigation before eventually concentrating on family law. He was certified by the California Board of Legal Specialization as a Certified Family Law Specialist in 1981. In his family law practice, Mr. Dowler has gained a reputation as a direct and efficient attorney adept at resolving complicated property, support and custody issues. A member of the Ventura County Bar Association, Mr. Dowler is the former president of the Ventura County Family Law Bar Association.
